Achillea millefolium is a perennial plant with an upright growth habit and can reach a height of 40 to 70 cm. It blooms with white flowers from June to September. Flowering occurs from June to September. This plant grows best in a sunny location in well-drained soil. Achillea millefolium is suitable for use in ornamental borders, herb and wild plant gardens, and is beloved by bees and butterflies. The plant is winter-hardy and generally resistant to diseases and pests. Yarrow is not poisonous and is even used medicinally (for its anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, and hemostatic properties), but in large quantities it can be slightly irritating to sensitive individuals.
