Campanula rapunculus

Category: Perennials — Rampon bellflower, Rampon

A pirennial or biennial plant with a loose, upright growth habit that can reach a height of 60 to 90 cm. A rosette of leaves forms in the first year, which then develops stems in the second year. From June to August, this plant blooms with light purple, bell-shaped flowers in a loose panicle. Campanula rapunculus prefers a semi-shade to sunny location in well-drained, calcareous, and dry soil. It is suitable for wildflower meadows and grasslands. This plant is very winter-hardy and highly resistant to diseases and pests. The plant is entirely edible: roots, leaves, and flowers.
