Malus 'Indian magic'

Category: Deciduous — Crab apple

Crabapple with a compact to medium-sized, upright and later slightly spreading growth habit, which can reach a height of 6 meters. Numerous pink to rose-red flowers appear around April and May, followed by reddish-purple crabapples that remain on the tree for a long time. The autumn color is orange, red, to reddish-purple. The tree prefers a sunny to partially shaded location in well-drained, fertile soil. It is suitable as a specimen tree in small gardens, avenues, and parks, and is valuable to bees and birds. Malus 'Indian Magic' is very winter-hardy and highly resistant to diseases and pests. The fruits are primarily used for decoration. If consumed in large quantities, the fruits are slightly toxic.
