A perennial plant with a low-growing, herbaceous habit that can reach a height of 10 to 30 cm. From May to September, it blooms with purple, violet flowers resembling a beehive, attracting butterflies, bees, and bumblebees. Prunella vulgaris prefers a semi-shade to sunny location in well-drained, moderately moist soil. This plant is suitable as a groundcover in flower meadows and natural gardens, but can also be used for its medicinal properties, including wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties. The plant is winter-hardy and highly resistant to diseases and pests.
