Primula vulgaris

Category: Perennials — Common Primrose

A perennial with a low-growing, clump-forming and rosette-like habit that can reach a height of 10 to 20 cm. Light yellow flowers appear on short stems from March to May, making it one of the first to bloom in spring. Primula vulgaris prefers a semi-shade to sunny location in well-drained, moderately moist soil. This plant is ideal for use in borders, woodland edges, underplanting, or as ground cover. It is very winter-hardy and fairly resistant to diseases and pests.
