Fast-growing elm with open, upright form. The tree can reach a height of more than 30 m and grows just as wide. Open, upright, broad oval crown that will eventually become round. The flowers are red and the fruits are often slightly reddish as well. The elm sapling beetle, which spreads Dutch elm disease, seems to avoid the tree. A fine, imposing tree for parks and landscaping.
